Excidium History

Chapter 1: The Beginning

It was the dawning of the first war.  The Cybrids had already spread throughout the world.  Our greatest invention, had become our own demise.

The Cybribs had proven to be the most effective war machines ever built.  Some thought too effective.   When the Cybrids first attacked their masters, the whole world held its breath.  When they started the systematic destruction of all human life, the world wasnt able to regain its breath for a very long time.

Our ancestors were stationed at Edward's Airforce Base, in what was once known as California.  During the first Earthsiege, the base was outfitted with all available Hercs, and turned into an important stategic point, for the battles in the South-west.

At the end of the first Earthsiege, little was left.  Most major cities had been destroyed, and resources were scarce.  There was an extreme conflict of interest between our ancestors and the ruling government concerning the use of the base there-after.  The government wished to disband the base, and move our forces to another location. They were forced to leave their base, and travel to the, once powerful, base located in San Diego.

The whole world prepared for the second attack on the Earth. This time, we were better prepared for war.  Once again, we were at a disadvantage.    The Cybrids came in great numbers, but in the end, the human race triumphed once again.

It was at the beginning of the third and final Earthsiege that events took a dramatic change.  There was now a powerful Empire, who sought absolute power over its colonies.  Our ancestors, once again had a difference of opinion with the government.  This time, they did something about it.  When the Imperial troops came to disband our base for a second time, we fought back with biting fury.    They would have pursued and both sides would have lost many men, if it had not been for the Cybrids.

    Chapter 2: Excidium

Our ancestors wasted no time.  They quickily relocated to a safer location, deep in the deserts of California.  They quickly adapted.  A heavily fortified fortress was set up on a cliffside.  They were no longer apart of the empire, they had become Excidium.

The Empire soon forgot about them.  Even if they hadnt, they would not have been able to easily find them.  However, the Cybrids did.  It was at this time, that the greatest leader of Excidium emerged to power.  NexXus, one of the greatest warriors of all time, elected himself as leader.  He transformed the little that they had into a great military supply.  He scrapped the Hercs to create new vehicles.  FLyers, tanks, and sentry units were built.  A single Herc provided enough material for at least 3 flyers, which could easily take out a Herc single handedly.

Excidium was transformed under NexXus' command.  They were able to fight off the Cybrids with an acceptable loss of manpower and equiptment each time.    By the end of the war, Excidium consisted of some of the fiercest warriors ever known.  Years passed.  Excidium was unable to grow in vast numbers considering what they had to work with.  It wasnt until the end of the war, that Excidium found its calling.

The jump gates were discovered soon after the war.  Word got out, and thousands of people were flooding to get off the planet.  Excidium "hitched" a ride on a spaceship headed towards an unknown jump gate.  It was not determined what sector it led to, which was all the better for Excidium.

Chapter 3: Home

The jump gate led to an undiscovered sector.    Several Tribes were already fighting for control of the lush planets in that system.  The two fighting, were the Diamond Sword Tribe, and the Blood Eagle Tribe.    Excidium decided that they werent going to get in the middle of a possible war, so they voted to leave.  On the way, they met up with several hundered renegade warriors.  The renegades were from both sides of the war.  Obviously unhappy, they had left there Tribes to join up with renegades from Children of the Pheonix in a new found sector.

Seeing the great warriors among Excidium's ranks, they naturally offered Excidium to join them.  So we did.  These renegades soon became known as the Starwolf Tribe.  Few and outnumbered compared to other Tribes, Starwolf resided in a sector with only one jumpgate into, and out of the sector.  It was fairly easy to defend and control.

The planets in the sector were not considered habitable by the other Tribes.  So we lunged at the oportunity to grow.  Soon, what was once a few puny renegades, grew into the Great Starwolf Tribe that is today.

Excidium recieved a desert planet as their homeworld.    Since they had lived all their lives in the desert, they were very resourceful in living there.  Excidium stayed reasonably small.  There are only the fiercest and toughest of fighters in Excidium.  On these planets, only the strong survive.

The factions of Starwolf, bound like brothers, have fought together for generations against all that threatened us.  We had no wish to expand and dominate, we did not care what the other Tribes did, unless it bothered us........until now.

Chapter 4: All that is, and will be.

The Empire is bent on domination, the CoP are spreading like an epidemic.  Indepentant weaklings are popping up everywhere.  For the first time in this generation, we are actually being threatened by the other Tribes.    If they wish our fury, so be it.  But it is already known, we do not take kindly to any that stand in our way.

All that is, and will be is this: No Tribe will ever defeat us. We will fight to the death, and triumph over all.  You can run, but we run much faster.......
